Originally a painter, I was led to homeopathy by my orange tabby—smart cat! He had terrible digestive problems from the time he was a kitten and after years of trying everything imaginable to help him, I decided to go to a homeopathic vet. My kitty, Titian, got better right away and I started reading homeopathy books. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that I was immediately hooked! A healing method that recognizes that everything in nature is connected and looks at illness as an imbalance of the whole mind-body system rather than just some malfunctioning parts, made perfect sense to me. I had always been interested in psychology and the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and physical problems. Learning about homeopathy added dimension and understanding to my earlier investigations and offered an effective method to release the blocks that hold us back. Even though I continued to paint for a number of years, my love of homeopathy was always hovering in the background. Eventually there was no question that I had to go where my heart was leading — I took a giant step and committed myself to formal education so I could become a practitioner and help people heal in a deep, permanent way. Truly it felt as if my whole life had been guiding me to this point and I’ve never looked back.
My training in classical homeopathy was with the wonderful School of Homeopathy, in Stroud, England, where I earned a 4 year, advanced practitioner diploma. I am nationally certified by the Council for Homeopathic Certification (CCH) and am a member of the North American Society of Homeopaths (RSHom, NA). These credentials mean that I’ve passed rigorous training requirements, have pledged to practice according to occupational standards, and am committed to ongoing professional education and activities.
Yoga has been an important part of my life for over 20 years and I’ve been greatly influenced by the spiritual teachings of Eckhardt Tolle. I believe that self-reflection and meditation are indispensable for health and well being. I look forward to connecting with you!
A spirit is manifest in the laws of the universe, a spirit vastly superior to that of man, and one in the face of which, we with our modest powers, must feel humble.
